Kalevala Geocoin (Seppo Ilmarinen)

Description

This is the new version of the Kalevala Geocoin, with only 50 coins made. As the name suggests, the geocoin is inspired by the Finnish national epic Kalevala and the legendary blacksmith Ilmarinen.

The front of the coin features Seppo Ilmarinen himself, with blacksmith’s tongs and a forge hammer in front of him. On the reverse side, there is an anvil surrounded by fire and smoke. The geocoin has an antique silver finish, with only the fire and smoke on the back side colored.

There are also special editions of the geocoin, available exclusively to those who have purchased the “Eeppinen” membership at Geocache.fi. The Eeppinen geocoin is not for sale – it is given only to those who obtain this membership.
