Official Luonnostaan villi – Tornio 2022 MEGA Geocoin

Tämä on Luonnostaan villi – Tornio 2022 MEGA-eventin geokolikkosarjan Limited edition -versio, jota on valmistettu 50 pcs.

The front side of the geocoin features a modified version of the MEGA event logo, adapted specifically for the coin. The theme of the MEGA is wild nature, and fittingly, the mighty salmon (kojamo) of the Tornio River decorates the front, with the river’s rapids in the background. The salmon is rendered in 3D, and the colors used are shades of blue and green. The overall design of the geocoin resembles a compass. On the edge of the coin, there is a compass-like point with a loop attached (note: the loop is not visible in the sample image but is included with the actual coin). The ring allows the coin to be attached to a lanyard or keychain. On the reverse side, the coin displays a map of Sea Lapland (Meri-Lappi), with the MEGA event location marked at the Laivakangas racetrack. Above the map is a large mosquito (sääski), also rendered in 3D. The coin also features the official emblem of Tornio’s anniversary — the city celebrates its 400th year in 2022.

The surface of this Limited Edition version is finished in antique gold.

The geocoin has a diameter of 55 mm and is 4.5 mm thick at its thickest point.
