Stay safe, but stay connected geocoin

THE GEOCOINS ARRIVED IN JULY. BY JULY, HALF OF THE PRODUCED GEOCOINS HAD BEEN SOLD. A TOTAL OF 200 GEOCOINS WERE MADE FOR US TO SELL.

On July 14, 2020, we donated €200 to the University of Helsinki for coronavirus research. We hope to sell all the geocoins as soon as possible so we can donate another €200.

The coronavirus pandemic is causing global concern, sorrow, and distress. Many companies and entrepreneurs are also in a difficult situation. I, too, have had to cancel all geocaching-related events planned for the spring, including those with schools. Now it’s time to come up with new ideas and help each other. This is how the newly released Stay safe, but stay connected geocoin was born. The geocoin design was created by Christian Mackey.

The geocoin depicts a roll of toilet paper with the text STAY SAFE, BUT STAY CONNECTED. The other side features icons representing ways to stay in touch, care for others, share information, and learn. The tracking code and the phrase Track at Geocaching.com are inscribed along the edge of the coin.
